Abstract: We synthesized the single phase Sr 2 FeMoO 6 (sample B) and Sr 2 FeMoO 6 with 10% SrMoO 4 impurity phase (sample C) by sintering the material in different environments. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX) results clearly indicate that in sample C, the insulating SrMoO 4 phase is segregated at the grain boundaries of Sr 2 FeMoO 6 grains and produces the tunneling barriers in the conduction of charge carriers between Sr 2 FeMoO 6 grains.
