Abstract: A B S T R A C TThe extraction of phenolic compounds from walnut leaves (Juglans regia L.) was optimized using heat-assisted extraction and deep eutectic solvents based on choline chloride and carboxylic acids. A preliminary solvent screening was performed using a selected group of carboxylic acids as hydrogen bond donors, showing that the highest extraction yield of phenolic compounds was obtained using choline chloride mixtures with butyric or phenylpropionic acid at a mole ratio 1:2, with 20% of water (w/w).… Show more

“…As such, DESs have been employed in the extraction and separation of various bioactive substances such as alkaloids, phenolic compounds, terpenoids, and saponins from plant materials [ 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 ]. Dai et al [ 20 ] studied the extraction of flavonols from safflower, using different DESs: glucose: choline chloride; lactic acid: glucose and fructose: glucose: sucrose.…”

“…Quantitative determination juglone in the feed was carried out by spectrophotometry. 6 Analysis glycosides amount in terms of gidroyuglone glucoside in Juglans regia cortex was carried out according to the method of C. Daglish: about 1.0 g (accurately weighed) RL crushed, passing through a sieve of 1 mm, placed in a flask with 100 ml capacity lapped stopper, was added 50 ml of alcoholic solution of hydrochloric acid 0.27 mol / l and was stirred for 30 minutes on a magnetic stirrer. Vieira V. et al, 2019) Extract was filtered into a volumetric flask with 100 ml of a paper filter "red tape", was adjusted to the mark with an alcoholic solution of hydrochloric acid 0.27 mol / l, was stirred.…”
