Abstract: Abstract Low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) and also linear low‐density polyethylene (LLDPE) resins can be characterized by the degree of strain hardening and down‐gaging during elongation. A new method for the determination of the apparent elongational flow characteristics is presented.
