Electrophoretic Studies of Binary and Ternary Complexes of Some Metal Ions with Alizarin

Abstract: Alizarin and its derivatives are well known colorimetric reagents for cations. The presence of two hydroxyl groups in positions 1 and 2 with respect to the quinoid oxygen makes it very suitable for the formation of chelates with metal ion.
