El régimen económico como efecto patrimonial del matrimonio mixto entre cubanos y extranjeros

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the current regulation that the Cuban Civil Code contains about the applicable law to the economic regime of marriage as an effect of formalization of the marriage between Cubans and foreigners. In order to achieve this goal, it is denoted the private international character of mix marriage and patrimonial relationships as its consequences, by analyzing both the main issues that in matter of regulation of economic regime transcend from domestic law to international law, and the law applicable to this subject. Also, in this work, we delimit the main tendencies that are presented in domestic laws concerning the regulation of the applicable law to the economic regime, then we end up with the author´s criteria concerning this particular aspect in Cuba, and its main deficiencies in today Cuban reality.
