“…This study presents a new animal model of weight and total caloric intake dysregulation in rats that binge on a sweet‐fat diet. Just as previous models using other diets and periods of limited access to sugar‐ or fat‐rich diets have done (6,7,8,16), this model of limited sweet‐fat access could facilitate further characterization of binge eating in relation to physiological and neurological changes.
