Effects of Imipenem-containing Niosome nanoparticles against high prevalence methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Epidermidis biofilm formed

Abstract: We aim to assess the antibacterial and anti-biofilm properties of Niosome-encapsulated Imipenem. After isolating Staphylococcus epidermidis isolates and determining their microbial sensitivity, their ability to form biofilms was examined using plate microtiter assay. Various formulations of Niosome-encapsulated Imipenem were prepared using the thin-film hydration method, Minimum Biofilm Inhibitory Concentration (MBIC) and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) were determined, and biofilm genes expression was … Show more

“…A unique technique for the treatment of MRSE that has been investigated is the use of rosin maleic anhydride nanoparticles. The multiple antibiotics resistance rate in our study was 56.3%, which is consistent with earlier published research [ 27 ]. According to that study, 65.43% of S. epidermidis with multidrug resistance had generalized antibiotic resistance.…”

“…In addition, no significant toxicity resulted from cell treatment with empty niosomes. The nontoxic effects of the free niosomes and amikacin-loaded niosomes on HFF cells viability in all concentrations were the same as previously reported (Piri-Gharaghie et al 2022 ).

“…Selected ion monitoring (SIM) chromatograms were used to assess the peak regions of mycotoxin and degradation products for the standards and treated samples. Anjum et al discovered AFB1 UV-degraded compounds m/z 331 and m/z 317 [37] , [38] , [39] , [40] , [41] , while Iram et al discovered AFB2-degraded compound m/z 301 [38] , [39] , [40] . In the present study, the effect of UV therapy on rice quality was also investigated.…”
