“…The decrease in the average grain size with further increase in the Pr-doping amount can be clarified by the increase in the numbers of grain boundaries between the electrodes, thereby increasing the breakdown voltage and enhanced the nonlinearity of the varistor ceramics. A high nonlinear coefficient leads to the increased breakdown field of the ceramic samples [ 37 ]. The increase in the breakdown voltage with further increase in the Pr-doping content also reduced the leakage current, indicating that it occurs at lower current density due to the increase in barrier height at the grain boundaries.…”
