“…Currently, 4 to 5% albumin solutions are also widely employed for volume expansion. Whereas 4 to 5% albumin expands intravascular volume by approximately 80% of the administered volume [ 4 - 15 ], the corresponding effect of 20% albumin averages 210% [ 4 , 16 - 18 ] and 25% albumin 260% [ 4 , 19 - 21 ].
