“…The supplementation ractopamine and l ‐carnitine to the diet increased albumin, total protein and globulin in the blood serum; and the lowest concentrations were observed in fish fed the control diet (Table 4). Albumin in teleost fish blood has several important functions, including binding and transporting non‐esterified fatty acids (Rodnick & Williams 1999).
