Effect of Zingiber officinale and Nigella sativa on Streptozotocin-Diabetic Rats with Reference to Biochemical and Hematological Studies

Abstract: This study was aimed to assess the potential ameliorative effect of the ethanolic extract of Zingiber officinale (Z. officinale; ginger) and Nigella sativa (N. sativa; black seed) on streptozotocin (STZ)-diabetic rats. Fifty albino rats of Wistar strain were randomly divided into five equal groups. Group 1 received saline orally (a control group).
