Effect of sintering temperature on the depolarization behavior of (Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3‐based ceramics

Abstract: Bi 0.5 Na 0.5 )TiO 3 (BNT)-based ferroelectric ceramics have drawn extensive attention because of their excellent electrical properties and interesting depolarization behavior. However, the poor thermal stability of electrical properties limits their practical application. In this work, the effect of sintering temperature (T s ) on the depolarization behavior of BNT-based ceramics was systematically investigated. It is found that the depolarization temperature T d determined from pyroelectric measurement tends… Show more

“…Generally, the ceramics with fine grains will exhibit higher internal stress, giving rise to the deferred depolarization. 17 researchers have also noticed that T d seems to always precede the relaxation temperature slightly. Yin et al consider that this situation should be attributed to the thermal fluctuations of oriented domains induced by the transition from R3c to P4bm structure.…”

“…Internal stress in materials could exert the influence on the stability of ferroelectric phase. Generally, the ceramics with fine grains will exhibit higher internal stress, giving rise to the deferred depolarization . Nowadays, many studies related to BNT-based materials have stated the same temperature between depolarization and relaxation.…”
