Abstract: The effect of multiple light scattering on a homodyne intensity auto-correlation function and photocount distribution of scattered light has been studied. The analysis of quasielastic light scattering data has shown that even a small contribution (several percent) of multiple light scattering to the total scattered light intensity can be distinguished and identified by the Laplace transform inversion of the corresponding intensity auto-correlation function.
