Growth was retarded in European eel when fed with diets of 40% protein containing 10 and 20% soya‐bean meal (Degani 1987; Degani & Gallagher 1995). However, these differences cannot be accounted entirely owing to differences in soya‐bean meal used in the respective diets.…”
