Abstract

Influence of climatic factora on the píneapple mealybugDysrnicoccus brevipes (Cockereil, 1893) (Uomoptera, Pseudococcidae) in the main production areas of Minas Gerais State.This research was carried out to study the influence of climatic factora on the popuiati.on of the pineapple mealybug, Dy5rnicoccris brevipes (Cockerell, 1893) in Piuunhi,Uberaba and Monte Alegre do Minas, Minas Gerais State, Brzii. Multipie linear regressions analysis among climatic factora and mealybug infestation showed that raintali was the most important one, with an adverse effect on the population of this pest. Higher infestati.cn leveis were generally associated with lower values of relative humidity and maxiroun temperatura. RESUMOEste trabalho teve como objetivo estudar os efeitos de fatores climáticos sobre a cochonilha-do-abacaxi D. brevipes nas principais regiães produtoras do Estado de Minas Gerais. E para tal, foram conduzidos ensaios nos nunicipiosdePiumhí, Uberaba e Monte Alegre de Minas durante trás ciclos da cultura.
