“…It seems clear that more studies are needed in Spanish which would help clarify in an increasingly precise fashion the role played by morphological awareness in learning reading and writing among students with reading-writing learning difficulties. It is possible that some certainties will be revealed, such as the fact that morphological awareness is capable of explaining part of the variance in reading, writing and text comprehension in Spanish-speaking students with typical development (Medina-Cárdenas & Rueda, 2018). Another certainty may be the relationship with the mechanisms that play a role in writing in Spanish, which along with phonological and orthographic mechanisms also include morphology (Alegría & Carrillo, 2014), even though it is a transparent, superficial language.…”
