Editorial Policies of Pediatric Journals

Abstract: To study whether specific recommendations aiming to improve publication practice were included in author instructions of pediatric journals. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). “…Of several journal characteristics, the journal impact factor consistently showed a significant positive association with endorsement of any reporting guideline, the recommendations by the ICMJE and trial registration while start year and geographical region of journals were associated with endorsement of fewer of the domains in the author instructions.
