Dynamic modeling study on the slope steering performance of articulated tracked vehicles

Abstract: Articulated tracked vehicles are used as special off-road transportation vehicles, and their mobility is gaining more attention now than before. As an important evaluation indicator of the mobility of articulated tracked vehicles, steering performance receives wide attention in particular. Most of the present studies focus on the planar steering performance; few studies employing current models concentrate on the slope steering performance of articulated tracked vehicles. To address this research gap, this stu… Show more

“…The Agricultural tractor also affords a power if the implement is required. A great change was happened in the field of tractor systems due to the involving of the hydraulics in braking and steering system, control system, and in external circuit that is overturn the trailer [2]. The hydraulic system is one of the main outlets in which directed around barriers, mutable speed, force Multiplication, wear diminished, better automation potential, and reduced equipment damage [3].…”

“…Chao et al 8 proposed a dynamic modeling method to analyze the slope steering performance of articulated tracked vehicles. Zhang et al 9 proposed an improved dynamic steering model considered the relationship between the shear stress and shear displacement of the soil at the track-ground interface, and verified the validity of the model through machine-controlled co-simulation and experiments. Wang , Rui et al 10,11 introduced the lateral offset of track steering pole into the steering model, analyzed the steering process of high-speed tracked vehicles on hard roads, and achieved good verification results.…”
