Dual-emitting dye-CDs@MOFs for selective and sensitive identification of antibiotics and MnO4 in water

Abstract: The “smart” fluorescent material RhB-CDs@1 contains functions of multicomponent recognition, including the detection of quinolones, tetracyclines, nitrofurans and MnO4− in aqueous solution.

“…[25] As for MOFs with smaller pore size than CDs,post-modification method by utilizing agglomerant to bond CDs onto the surface of MOFs is more feasible. [26] Note that different from CDs@zeolites,o ne-step synthetic method is not general for CDs@MOFs because the precursors of CDs would influence the crystallization of MOFs and the synthesis temperature of MOFs is usually lower than the carbonization temperature of CDs. “…[5][6][7][8][9] Besides cations, there are some anionic pollutants, such as MnO 4 À , it has also became the important factor of water pollution due to its widely application in drinking water treatment. [10] So searching for efficient detection methods on these ion pollutants is extremely essential. Up to now, high performance gas-liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and potentiometric methods are the most commonly used traditional detection methods, but these methods have the disadvantages of inconvenience, timeconsuming, and large investment.…”
