“…The effect of spinning technology on the structure and properties of PSA fibers has also been investigated. Banduryan et al . conducted a comparative investigation of the structure and properties of poly (4,4′‐diphenylsulfonyl terephthalamide) ( pt ‐PSA) fibers prepared by dry‐ and wet‐spinning.…”

“…3,4 In addition to the inherent structure of PSA, the morphology of the bers, which is formed during the spinning process, is also a negligible factor to the performance of PSA bers. Sokira 5 and Banduryan et al 6 studied the effect of coagulation conditions during both the wet spinning process and dry spinning process on the porous structure of aromatic polysulfonamide bers. They also pointed out that the ber was amorphous before heat drawing and further orientation and polymer crystallization occurred during the heat drawing process, which suggests that heat drawing played an important role in the improvement of the ber performance.…”

“…PSAs have found applicability in the fields of high‐temperature filtration and flame retardancy due to their excellent chemical and thermal stability and large limiting oxygen index . Spinning experiments of some isomerically substituted PSAs were carried out as early as the 1970s . The first commercialized PSA fiber was produced by Shanghai Tanlon Fiber Co. Ltd in 2007 with the trade name of Tanlon® .…”
