In the era of industrial revelation 4.0 (IR 4.0), sustainability has been a serious challenge of contemporary small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Using Natural Resource-Based-View (NRBV), the current paper examines the moderated mediation model of the role of information access in the sustainability of SMEs, through the mediating role of access to resource and innovation capability in the relationship between information access and sustainability, and the moderating role of management commitment in the relationship between innovation capability and SME sustainability. This paper gathered data from 222 SMEs in Pakistan. The study used a purposive sampling technique to distribute the survey questionnaire. Smart-PLS software was used to analyze the data. The study finding indicates that access to information affects both sustainability and innovation capability. Moreover, access to resources affects innovation capability, though it did not affect SME sustainability. Furthermore, innovation capability mediates the relationship between access to resources, access to information, and SME sustainability. Additionally, management commitment moderates the relationship between access to information and innovation capability; however, it does not moderate the relationship between access to resources and innovation capability. Practical, theoretical, and methodological implications are discussed in the study.

In spite of strong investments in digital technologies in the healthcare and medical services domain over the past couple of decades, one of the most pressing issues is that in many cases the technologies that are adopted to support the everyday tasks of professionals are often not used as intended, or even not used at all. A growing number of studies have also noted negative impacts in many circumstances when professionals such technologies them into their work tasks. This poses a major concern as investments in supporting technologies are often hindering efforts of professionals rather than enabling them. Following a task-technology fit approach we build on a sample of 445 health and medical service professionals working in Norway. This study explores the configurations of elements that lead to positive and negative impacts when using digital technologies to support work. To derive results, we utilize a fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to showcase that there are several different configurations of tasks, technologies, and use practices that can either help produce positive impacts or create negative ones.

Despite the documented potential of Big Data Analytics Capabilities (BDAC), it is by no means clear how they support the capacity of firms to purposefully create, extend, or modify their resource bases, i.e., dynamic capabilities (DC). This study extends current literature by exploring and elucidating various contingent big data capabilities, resources, and conditions that lead to the formation of these DCs in today's turbulent business environment. We use a qualitative approach using a cross-interview study method. Hence, we collected data through semi-structured interviews with field domain experts. In total, 27 interviews were held with key and senior informants from different firms. Co-authors analyzed the obtained data through the use of qualitative coding techniques. Our results show that there are various contingent BDAC resource solutions that drive, moderate, and condition the development of DCs. These outcomes also show that no single antecedent condition explains DCs in practice. These insights are important for firms that are becoming more data-driven. Outcomes are valuable for practice as firm executives now have insight into the process and main BDA capabilities they can focus on while planning, initiating, and evolving big data analytics projects and their digital business strategies.
