Abstract: Abstract One of the limiting parameters while drilling deep extended reach (ERD) wells with 6-in. and less open hole diameter is a downhole temperature (DHT). In such small diameters a temperature can easily reach the limit of existing measure while drilling (MWD) and logging while drilling (LWD) tools and restrict the application of them. The manuscript studies main factors affecting DHT in slimehole application and the ways to manage it, as well as field application of obtained results. …
