Abstract

The rise of distributed photovoltaic (PV) in recent years has enhanced the sustainability, reliability, and flexibility of power systems. However, excessive PV access beyond the distribution network’s hosting capacity can jeopardize grid security and stability. This paper proposes a data-driven assessment method for PV carrying capacity, ensuring optimal integration while considering operational stability. Detailed analysis of a specific distribution network validates the method’s efficacy, leveraging network data for accurate evaluation. The approach holds promise for widespread adoption and large-scale application.
