Abstract:The adrenal glands are hormone secreting glands that sit on top of the kidneys. Adrenal glands produce glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids, and catecholamines, and are therefore critical regulators of the stress response, the immune response, metabolism, and blood pressure.
