Abstract:Intracranial dissecting aneurysms mainly occur in the territory of the vertebrobasilar system. Dissecting aneurysms confined to the anterior cerebral artery are rare, and the presentations are usually of either subarachnoid hemorrhage or cerebral infarction. Here, we report a unique case of a dissecting aneurysm of the anterior cerebral artery presenting as a visual field defect. After surgical decompression, visual symptoms recovered.
