Abstract: To the best of my knowledge, it is the first occasion that a gas-engineering topic has been presented and discussed by the IEE. The justification for this is apparent from the details of the paper, which reflect the mutual interest of the electricty and gas industries in supplying energy to our customers as efficiently as possible.
