“…Approximately 60 cases of CGD have appeared in the literature reporting a ‘discoid lupus erythematosus‐like rash’. 6,8–10,12–23 Of these cases, only one describes the clinical presence of follicular plugging, a hallmark of this variant of lupus erythematosus. Other clinical features which are common in DLE but absent from most of these CGD–DLE reports are clear definition of lesions including adherent scales and atrophic scarring in old lesions.…”

“…Cutaneous features include an increased tendency to skin infection such as recurrent mucous membrane infections, impetigo, carbuncles, otitis externa and suppurative lymphadenopathy. 5–7 Other less common skin conditions described in association with CGD include discoid lupus erythematosus ( Table 1), 6,8–10,12–23 aphthous stomatitis, 9 , 12–14,22 Raynaud's phenomenon, 11,13 , 14,16–19 arcuate dermal erythema and Jessner's lymphocytic infiltrate 7,11 …”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…CGD patients are also known to have increased risk of developing systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) (3, 12, 16, 19, 35, 56, 59, 63, 64). Anti-phospholipid syndrome, IgA neurophathy (16), Kawasaki disease (66), and polyarthritis (33) are other autoimmune manifestations reported to occur in CGD patients.…”
