“…We treated the patient with oral antihistamine and topical steroids, but the eruptions showed little or no response. The clinicopathological features were consistent with a diagnosis of digitate dermatosis 3–5 …”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…Digitate dermatosis (DD) is a variant of small-plaque parapsoriasis, originally reported by Hu & Winkelmann in 1973 ( 1 ). The relationship between small-plaque parapsoriasis and cutaneous lymphoma is controversial, with no or minimal risk of malignant transformation and with specific featuring that support a risk of progression ( 2 ).…”

“…“Digitate dermatosis” is a distinctive variant of SPP originally reported by Hu and Winkelmann in 1973 [ 14 ], presenting with elongated, finger-like patches located on the flanks in a parallel pattern (Fig. 1 ).…”
