Abstract: Patients with arterial hypertension have an increased risk of developing tumors, particularly renal cell carcinoma. Arterial hypertension is linked to DNA damage via the generation of oxidative stress, in which an upregulated renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system plays a crucial role.
