Diatomáceas epilíticas de sistemas lóticos na sub-bacia hidrográfica do Arroio Grande, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil

Abstract: RESUMO-Diatomáceas epilíticas são componentes importantes no perifíton de ecossistemas aquáticos. Este trabalho objetivou conhecer a comunidade de diatomáceas epilíticas e sua distribuição em treze pontos amostrais de cinco arroios da sub-bacia Hidrográfi ca do Arroio Grande, RS, entre outubro de 2012 e março de 2013. “…Brazil is the world's second‐largest producer of tobacco ( Nicotiana tabacum L.), accounting for 12.5% of production (FAO, 2021), and the Rio Grande do Sul is the leading state in terms of cultivation, responsible for about 41% of the Brazilian production (IBGE, 2020). This crop is widespread because of its great economic importance (Vignoli‐Silva & Mentz, 2005), but plant parasitic nematodes (PPNs) damage has been assigned as a significant issue in several areas of the world (Johnson & Chinheya, 2018; Shepherd & Barker, 1990).
