Abstract:Objective: measure the beliefs of healthcare teams about training and institutional development actions. Methods: A quantitative, descriptive and correlational research was composed among 937 healthcare professionals who work in public and private institutions in all three healthcare levels. A previously validated instrument used in the data collection process was revalidated in this study. Data were hence submitted to descriptive and inferential statistics, and factor analysis. Results: Three factors emerged: Beliefs about the contributions of training programs both to the individual and the organization; Beliefs about the assessment process for training needs; and Beliefs about training results and processes. The study revealed that professionals showed strong favorable beliefs about the training system. Beliefs are increasingly stronger as the complexity level of the healthcare practice increases. The variables care level, function, time past graduation and work time, work shift, participation in training programs, and length of training time in the past 12 months showed significant differences regarding the beliefs of the professionals about training processes in at least one of the factors. Conclusions: Comprehension of the beliefs of healthcare professionals enables not only the implementation of managerial actions directed to the maintenance of favorable beliefs, but the change of unfavorable ones.

The results revealed that six graduates no longer worked in the FHS and most of those still working in the FHS reported a low level of identification with the FHS. The program enabled changes in these professionals' daily practices, although some difficulties implementing the FHS principles into practice still remain. The conclusion is that the program positively impacted these professionals' trajectory, even though it represents a modality of training designed to complement knowledge and skills required by the FHS work. Trayectoria profesional en la Estrategia Salud de la Familia: enfoque en la contribución de los cursos de especializaciónSe trata de estudio de caso, con abordaje cualitativo, que tuvo por objetivo analizar la trayectoria profesional de los egresados de los cursos de especialización en Salud de la Familia, ofrecidos por el Polo Salud de la Familia en la Región Metropolitana de Sao Paulo (Polo-SF RMSP) (2002)(2003)(2004) buscando identificar las contribuciones del curso para la actuación de estos profesionales en la Estrategia Salud de la Familia (ESF). Los sujetos del estudio fueron 11 ex-alumnos. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de cuestionario con preguntas semi-abiertas, durante los meses de diciembre de 2007 a marzo de 2008. Los resultados apuntaron que seis ex-alumnos no trabajaban más en la ESF. De los que trabajaban, la mayoría relata baja identificación con la ESF. Participar del curso ocasionó transformaciones en las actividades diarias de esos profesionales, a pesar de que persisten dificultades en operar con los principios de la ESF. Se concluye que el curso impactó positivamente la trayectoria del profesional, a pesar de que represente una modalidad de formación que tiene por objetivo complementar conocimientos y habilidades necesarias para actuación en la ESF.Descriptores: Formación de Recursos Humanos; Salud de la Familia; Enseñanza.

OBJECTIVES: to assess the impact of the Training Course on Prevention and Treatment of PU, in width and depth; to observe and analyze the variables of transference support of training, offered by the organization and to verify the existence of the relationship between transference support and training impact. METHODS: this was a quantitative study, in which data were collected through the application of Likert-type instruments, conducted with 75 nurses participating in a training at a hospital organization in São Paulo city. Data were analyzed statistically. RESULTS: there was a positive impact in width and depth, and the variables of transference support were strongly related to the impact, and situational factors of support were the main predictors of impact. CONCLUSION: the results pointed toward pathways to redirect the practice of instructional actions in the work environment of individuals in the study scenario and in similar situations that occur in organizations.
