Abstract: In soybeans, incoming carbon is fixed into the three major storage products of protein, oil, and carbohydrates. However, little is known about control of the partitioning of that carbon. Interdisciplinary research will be conducted on various levels, including mRNA, proteins, and metabolites, to elucidate the control of carbon partitioning.
