This paper presents the latest development, fabrication and WIFI telemetry capability of an open source, do-it-yourself underwater drone designated as DugongBot2.0, in collaboration with the Underwater Technology Research Group (UTeRG), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. The open-source underwater drone development is being used worldwide with the support from the internet. Vast experience is required towards the development of such underwater drones for deep underwater robotic exploration. This paper discusses the design of an underwater drone, and its material used for the frame and the implementation of the wireless connection of the drone. The design of drone has been developed by using the Solidwork. The topside monitor view is based on the original OpenROV software, in order to control and transmit the feedback footage of the camera and its connection to the drone. The underwater drone will have wireless control and communication capability with help of the Nano router that act as the bridge connection between the ground control and the underwater drone.
