Developing an Integrated Capitals Approach to Understanding Wildfire Vulnerability: Preliminary Considerations from a Literature Review

Abstract: Air quality is significantly deteriorated during wildfire events, which poses a risk for the human health of affected populations. The Mediterranean Basin was strongly impacted by wildfires in the 2021 fire-season, particularly Athens whose numerous inhabitants experienced dangerous levels of air-quality for consecutive days.
