“…Singer fungi collected from different regions varied due to regional differences, although TAS values were close to each other. 16 High TAS value of C. cylindracea obtained in the present study indicated that this mushroom could be used as a rich natural antioxidant source. However, when the TOS and OSI values are considered, it may be advisable to collect this mushroom from more adequate and pollutant-free regions.…”

“…Mushrooms are also known to accumulate elements. 16 The results of our studies conducted with previous study reported the lowest and highest element levels as 14. content could be due to the fact that the mushroom samples were collected at a roadside area.…”

“…16 In the present study, antioxidant potential of both mushroom species were determined. Thus, both TAS and TOS values of H. leucomelaena were found to be higher than that of S. [17][18][19][20] Compared to these studies, the TAS values of H. leucomelaena were higher than those of all the above mentioned mushrooms except O. olearius and the TAS value of S. coronaria was lower when compared to F. pinicola, G. pectinatum, P. eryngii and O. olearius. Also, It has been determined that the TOS values of the H. leucomelaena and S. coronaria mushroom are higher than the TOS values of the fungi in the literature.…”

“…Although the element content of mushrooms varies based on the mushroom species, since they play a role in organic matter catabolism in the nature, it was considered that the substrate content that mushrooms use is also a significant factor as well (Gadd et al,). In the literature, the lowest and highest element content for mushrooms were determined as 14.6-835 for Fe, 600-2500 for Mg, 29.8-158 for Zn, 71 -95 for Cu, 60 -920 for Na, and 18-590 mg.kg -1 for Ca [23]. When compared to the determined literature values, it was observed that Fe, Na and Ca content of both mushrooms are within the range specified in the literature, while Cu, Zn and Mg content were lower than the literature value ranges.…”
