“…This implies that the extension workers are still productive and, hence can actively and conveniently undertake new responsibilities such as delivering nutrition education to farming households. This agrees with the findings of Kolawole et al (2016) in Ekiti state Nigeria which report that the mean age of the extension personnel was 44 years with about 63% within the age range of 41-50 years (Middle Ages). The working experience results show that the extension workers have between a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 28 years of experience with a mean age of 12 years year.…”

“…Specific objectives of the study include assessing the farmers' awareness and usage of the technologies developed by researchers; examine the linkage that exists between the research, extension and farmers; identify constraints to the effective linkage and recommend strategies that can strengthen the linkage for agricultural development. Our hypothesis can be stated thus: there is no significant difference in the participation of researchers, extension agents and farmers in the technology transfer (Kolawole, Isitor and Owolabi, 2016).…”

“…Agriculture has always played a very prominent role in sustaining the economy of Nigeria. In fact, it was the mainstay of the nation's economy before the discovery of crude oil (Omorogiuwa et al, 2014;Kolawole et al, 2016). Even with increased attention given to oil sector, agriculture is the base of Nigeria's economy and the main source of livelihood for most Nigerians (Omorogiuwa et al, 2014;Bernstein, 2017;Ikenwa et al, 2017;Diao et al, 2018).…”
