Abstract: In order to shorten the acquisition time of positron re-emission microscopy (PRM), a linear accelerator (LINAC)-based PRM system has been studied. The beam focusing system was designed to obtain a high brightness positron beam on the PRM sample. The beam size at the sample was calculated to be 0.8mm (FWHM), and the positron intensity within the field of view of the PRM was more than one order of magnitude higher in comparison with the previous studies.
