Design of Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Controllers Based on Several Evolutionary Optimization Algorithms for Inverted Pendulum System

Abstract: This paper compared the performance between type-1 and type-2 of fuzzy logic controller for inverted pendulum system as a controlling plant. The parameters of each controller were tuned with four of evolutionary optimization algorithms (Genetic Algorithm (GA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), and Social Spider Optimization (SSO).
