Design of 1×2, 1×4, and 2×2 Dual Polarization Microstrip Array Antenna

Abstract: This paper present 3 design of array antenna from type of inset-fed microstrip patch antenna oriented at 450 and -450. The antenna is capable to generate dual-polarization radiation pattern slanted at 450 and -450. Combinations of two and more patches using quarter-wave impedance matching technique have been used to design the array antenna operate at 2.4 GHz. The design were simulated using Microwave Office 2006 and were fabricated on FR4 substrate with a dielectric constant Er =4.7, tan 6 =0.019 and thicknes… Show more

“…The most critical part in the array designing is the feed network design. The corporate feed network [6] with power divider and quarter wave transformer feed [7] network is used here. The main feed of 50 will be divided in two 100 feeds which is called as power divider feed and then it will be further reduced to 71 feed line in each branch.…”

“…Design of compact dual polarized mircostrip antenna fed by two probe feed has been reported by G.S. Row [11] and design of dual polarization using single port inset feed has been discovered [12]. Polarization diversity is a combination of antennas with orthogonal polarization either in horizontal or vertical combination, ±45 degree combination or left or right hand combination [13] [14].…”
