Abstract: Pantograph-catenary contact (interface) is the most crucial link to supply electrical power to loco drive. At high train speed, the loss of contact may occur due to the vibrations between the pantograph and catenary. In this paper, the fuzzy logic control is applied to minimize the vibrations in the force using different membership functions using MATLAB-Simulink software and the response is compared with PID controllers.
