The aim of this study was to elucidate whether the CD4+ memory T (Tm) cells differentiation to regulatory T cells (Tregs) play a role in the immunological defects in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), and if the oxidized low‐density lipoprotein (oxLDL) had affect on on CD4+ Tm cells and Tregs apoptosis in these subjects.
CD4+ Tm cells and Tregs were detected by flow cytometry in each group of ten subjects. Apoptosis was measured by flow cytometry and confirmed by Western blotting.
scite is a Brooklyn-based startup that helps researchers better discover and evaluate scientific articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by researchers from dozens of countries and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
