“…Primers ITS3-2024F (or ITS3: 5′-GCATCGATGAAGAACGCAGC-3′) and ITS4-2409R (or ITS4: 5′-TCCTCCGCTTATTGATATGC-3′) were used to amplify 350 bp of the fungal rRNA gene internal transcribed spacer-2 (ITS-2) region ( White et al, 1990 ; Bellemain et al, 2010 ). This primer pair contains an 8-nucleotide barcode sequence unique to the fungal ITS2 region ( Wu et al, 2021 ).
