Smart Home Architecture is suitable for progressive and symmetric urbanization. Data being generated in smart home appliances using internet of things should be stored in cloud where computing resources can analyze the data and generate the decisive pattern within no time. This additional requirement of storage, majorly, comprising of unfiltered data escalates requirement of host machines which carries with itself extra overhead of energy consumption; thus, extra cost has to be beard by service providers. Various static algorithms are already proposed to improve energy management of cloud data centers by reducing number of active bins. These algorithms are not able to cater to the needs of present heterogeneous requests generated in cloud machines by people of diversified work environment with adhering to the requirements of quality parameters. Therefore, the paper has proposed and implemented dynamic bin-packing approaches for smart architecture that can significantly reduce energy consumption without compromising upon makespan, resource utilization and Quality of Service (QoS) parameters. The novelty of the proposed dynamic approaches in comparison to the existing static approaches is that the proposed approach dynamically creates and dissolves virtual machines as per incoming and completed requests which is a dire need of present computing paradigms via attachment of time-frame with each virtual machine. The simulations have been performed on JAVA platform and dynamic energy utilized-best fit decreasing bin packing technique has produced better results in maximum runs.

Today's era of smart technologies has shifted the paradigm of how things work in almost every domain. This change has also affected the utmost need of human beings, that is, sustainability in healthcare. With the help of technologies like the Internet of medical things (IoMT) devices and cloud‐based applications, doctors can now monitor and diagnoses their patients remotely. In the data analytics process for health‐care data, more precision and challenges are present. Data must be transferred from a lower layer to final storage (cloud‐based) during data ingestion so that subsequent operations such as mining, accessing, and streaming can be performed on these data. This article addresses some of the important issues to maintain sustainability in healthcare like authentication, smart scheduling of devices, the removal of redundant data on the final layer, and improving access times for stored data. Bloom filter (a probabilistic data structure)‐based solutions are proposed at different layers of IoMT (edge‐fog‐cloud). The comparative analysis of state‐of‐art techniques with the proposed has shown significant improvement over various metrics. The proposed framework has been evaluated experimentally on real health‐care datasets.

The present technological era significantly makes use of Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices for offering and implementing healthcare services. Post COVID-19, the future of the healthcare system is highly reliant upon the inculcation of Artificial-Intelligence (AI) mechanisms in its day-to-day procedures, and this is realized in its implementation using sensor-enabled smart and intelligent IoT devices for providing extensive care to patients relative to the symmetric concept. The offerings of such AI-enabled services include handling the huge amount of data processed and sensed by smart medical sensors without compromising the performance parameters, such as the response time, latency, availability, cost and processing time. This has resulted in a need to balance the load of the smart operational devices to avoid any failure of responsiveness. Thus, in this paper, a fog-based framework is proposed that can balance the load among fog nodes for handling the challenging communication and processing requirements of intelligent real-time applications.
