Data mining is a technique adopted in analyzing data, linking relationships and identifying significant information from current data. Hidden information, which are hard to grasp and which consume time, are revealed easily through data mining. For this reason, the number of studies on data mining has increased today. Data mining is adopted in many fields, including the field of education. With the increase in studies on educational systems, a research society on Educational Data Mining has been established. In the field of education; studies like students' learning behaviors, teaching, counselling, management, students' success situations, reasons for dropping out of school, elective course choices have been found in the literature. In this study, published studies related to educational data mining between 2006-2016 are examined. The articles in seven different databases considered to contain publications related to the field of educational data mining were examined under the specified criteria. The studies were analyzed based on criteria such as the year of being published, research topic, data type, study group, data collection instruments. According to the study findings, study topics are mainly about literature review and academic achievement. Study findings also indicate that the study group consists mainly of university and high school.
