“…PCMZL most commonly presents as small, reddish-purple, with single or multiple papules or nodules [ 6 , 26 , 98 , 153 ]. An interesting variant of CBCLs is B-lymphoblastic lymphoma (B-LBL), which is extremely rare; however, we have identified several cases, especially in patients below 18 years old, which appeared on the scalp [ 32 , 66 , 77 , 78 , 89 , 97 , 102 , 105 , 118 , 121 , 126 ]. B-LBL lesions are typically observed as red to purple nodules, which may subsequently develop into tumors within a few months [ 32 , 66 , 77 , 78 , 89 , 97 , 102 , 105 , 118 , 121 , 126 ].…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…On microscopic examination, B-LBL can present a diagnostic challenge by virtue of its resemblance to other lymphoid malignant neoplasms and small round blue cell tumours involving the skin as given in Table 1 . [ 11 ] The abnormal lymphoid cells in B-LBL typically express TdT, CD43, CD99 and HLA-DR and may occasionally express B-cell markers such as CD79a, CD19, CD22 and CD20. Surface immunoglobulin is usually absent; however, cytoplasmic μ heavy chains may be present.…”

“…In 2018, an estimated 5,960 cases of ALL were diagnosed, accounting for only 0.3% of all new cancer cases in the United States [3-4]. Furthermore, leukemia cutis rarely occurs in this disease [2,5-6]. Leukemia cutis most commonly occurs in association with acute myelogenous leukemia, in which it occurs in less than 4% of cases [1].…”

“…Overall, only 15 patients with leukemia cutis secondary to B-cell ALL have been reported in the literature [2]. Similarly, there are less than 20 reported patients with primary cutaneous precursor B-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma [5-6]. These two disease entities differ based on their degree of systemic involvement.…”

“…In contradistinction, primary cutaneous precursor B-cell lymphoblastic lymphomas occur at extranodal sites, frequently manifesting in the skin and bone. Despite this ontogenetic distinction, both diseases are treated in parallel fashion with aggressive chemotherapy regimens designed for ALL [5]. Among cases of leukemia cutis due to B-cell ALL, approximately 1/3 of cases occur in pediatric patients, 1/5 of cases occur in patients over 65, and 1/3 of cases occur during relapse of B-cell ALL [2].…”
