“…Extrapulmonary P. carinii frequently involves the haematopoietic system (lymph nodes, spleen, liver and bone marrow) and is usually seen in patients with advanced immunosuppression, including those with AIDS. Cutaneous involvement is rare, with only five cases reported in the literature 1–3 . All documented cases had active concurrent pulmonary infection or had received P. carinii pneumonia prophylaxis.…”
