Along with consolidation of its international commercial power status superpower, China has made significant progress in the capital export sphere. Direct foreign direct investments is a main tool of the country’s deep integration into the system of international division of labor, its involvement into the global value chain. The article analyzes the quantitative and qualitative changes in current trends of direct foreign investment export from China, reveals the change in geographical and industrial priorities of Chinese investors, identifies legislative and other institutional transformations changes in this area. The author identifies the systematic and situational reasons for the relevant changes, substantiates them both from the viewpoint of the complex of the Chinese government’s strategic measures in reforming the national economic system and from the position of the changing conditions of China's investment cooperation with foreign countries. A conclusion is made about preservation of the current trends vector in the near-term and medium-term prospect.
