Abstract: CRMP proteins regulate the cytoskeleton, but the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood. Yu-Kemp et al. show that CRMP-1 helps Ena/VASP proteins elongate actin filaments to assemble actin networks that are necessary for the integrity of epithelial sheets.
