<span lang="EN-US">Complex problem solving (CPS) is a new paradigm in solving problems and is one of the soft skills needed to face the industrial revolution 4.0. Reflective abstraction is associating and modifying pre-existing conceptions into new situations. This article reviews research on CPS and reflective abstraction. This research is needed to know the relationship between reflective abstraction and CPS. The systematic writing of this review was assisted by the Publish or Perish 7 application, Mendeley, and VOSviewer. A literature search was performed through the ScienceDirect and ERIC databases. Based on the search results with the term “complex problem solving” and several exclusion criteria, 58 articles were found, whereas with the word “reflective abstraction” there were 23 articles, totaling 81 papers. Based on the literature review, it was found that there is a relationship between CPS and reflective abstraction by obtaining common ground in the form of prior knowledge. CPS requires prior knowledge from reflective abstraction to integrate the most relevant information. To improve CPS, efforts and special attention can be made to build initial knowledge through reflective abstraction. This article contributes to further research and becomes a study for the themes of CPS and reflective abstraction in learning and education.</span>

This study proposed a novel framework for redesigning problem-solving activities in an intelligent tutoring system (ITS) called the intelligent neural-mechanistic mathematics problem- solving tutoring system (IN-MP-STS). This concept paper presents a new approach to ITS by incorporating elements of neuroscience mechanisms as a learning strategy that focuses on optimizing the brain’s ability through neural mechanisms. It also introduces fuzzy neural networks (FNNs) as a tool for modulating assessment and analyzing outcomes. This framework offers an alternative perspective on delivery methods and learning approaches in the ITS module. By effectively integrating neuroscience mechanistic elements such as motivation, activation, regulation, execution, memorization, and interactivities, deep learning can be achieved, leading to improved student competence. This framework also proposes an adaptive assessment component based on FNNs, which will enhance the measurement and feedback modules in the system. It is necessary to modify the way that ITS and soft computing methods, such as the study of neural networks (NNs), are combined to make learning measurement and assessment more transparent. This innovation has not been fully disclosed, so researchers are encouraged to further test the concepts presented to assess their alignment with the existing system and ethical considerations. This framework enhances the conceptual research findings of FNNs and incorporates neuroscience-based strategies into architecture and autonomous problem-solving skills within an ITS model. It also offers references for the development of problem-solving learning. IN-MP-STS has the potential to significantly enhance students’ competencies and abilities, thereby fostering the development of more comprehensive, holistic, and sustainable ITS. This approach also has the potential to enrich the existing literature on the sustainability of neural networks.

Una de las industrias más destacadas de la economía mexicana es la restaurantera. Su importancia, debido a su número de empresas, creación de empleos y emprendimientos, ha ocasionado que se genere un alto índice de competitividad. Esto provoca que se busquen estrategias para mejorar la calidad del servicio que ofrecen, con el propósito de retener y atraer clientes. El objetivo de este trabajo fue identificar los factores que conforman la percepción de la calidad en el servicio en un restaurante mexicano. Para ello, se utilizó el instrumento DINESERV, mediante un enfoque cuantitativo y un análisis factorial confirmatorio. Los resultados mostraron que el instrumento DINESERV es válido para restaurantes mexicanos. Asimismo, se detectaron los factores que integran el servicio al cliente, enfatizando los aspectos de tangibilidad, confiabilidad, respuesta y empatía. Características como personal competente y con experiencia, tener siempre presente los intereses del cliente y la apariencia de la vestimenta y limpieza del personal de servicio son elementos clave para que el restaurante genere mayor satisfacción en sus clientes.
