In this article, the couple-group consensus of a class of heterogeneous fractional multi-agent systems with time-varying delay (HFMASs) has been studied.Based on cooperative-competitive interaction, pinning and self-adaptive controller has been designed to realize the couple-group consensus for this system with single integrator and double integrator fractional-order dynamics. By using Lyapunov function, mode-dependent average dwell time (MDADT) technology, stability theory and delta operator method, some sufficient conditions have been obtained to guard the success of couple-consensus for this HFMASs with fixed or switching topologies. According to these sufficient conditions, the related feasible solutions can be solved by using liner matrix inequality (LMI). In addition, these results are also applicable to the system with weakly connected topology without containing a spanning tree or meeting the demand of equilibrium of degree. Finally, several simulation experiments have been presented to prove the validity of the related results.

This article investigates the optimal group consensus control problem for the second-order multi-agent systems by using event-triggered and adaptive dynamic programming methods. The proposed method only uses the interaction information among the agents. Comprehensively considering the coopetition coupling interactions among the agents, a novel tracking error function is addressed for meeting the requirement of group consensus. On this basis, we use the Bellman optimality principle to formulate the optimal group consensus problem. To implement the proposed method, the actor-critic neural networks are used to approximate the iterative performance index functions and the control policies in real time. Meanwhile, the event-triggered condition with filter function is installed for each agent to reduce the control cost. Therefore, the weights of actor-critic networks are updated only at the event-triggered instants. The weight estimation errors and the control policy estimation errors are proved uniformly ultimately bounded and the Zeno behavior in the system can be avoided. Finally, the comparative simulation results show that the proposed method can greatly reduce the update times of the control policy of the system.

SummaryIn this article, the cluster consensus problems of two classes of nonlinear multi‐agent systems (NMASs) are studied under the dynamic event‐triggered control (ETC) strategy, where cooperative‐competitive interactions among agents and high‐order dynamics are considered. First, two dynamic ETC protocols are developed to realize the cluster synchronization of NMASs. Different from the static ETC, a dynamic parameter regulated by an adaptive law is used in place of a constant which can improve the trigger time intervals and reduce the energy consumption. Subsequently, an adaptive control mechanism based on the proposed ETC strategy is designed to adjust the controller parameter for agents. Some sufficient conditions for achieving the cluster consensus of NMASs are derived by using the Lyapunov stability theory and algebraic graph theory. Moreover, it is proved in theory that Zeno phenomenon can be excluded with these control schemes. Finally, two simulation examples validate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
